National Sales Leader (Director or VP)

Responsibilities
Lead and coach the sales team to achieve assigned sales targets through effective sales methodologies and strategies.
Set clear performance goals cascading from corporate objectives down to individual team member objectives. Regularly monitor performance and provide constructive feedback.
Develop, maintain, and strengthen business relationships with key existing and prospective clients, ensuring consistent communication and engagement with decision-makers.
Formulate and execute strategies for expanding the current customer base, increasing sales volume, and entering new markets.
Oversee sales forecasting and budgeting in alignment with the overall business plan and growth objectives.
Conduct regular market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends and new business opportunities aligned with company strengths and customer needs.
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan, focused on generating new revenue streams and building long-term strategic partnerships.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities, leveraging data insights and industry trends.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product, Marketing) to refine the company’s value proposition and support the customization of products/services to address new market demands.
Work closely with other departments, such as Operations and Product Management, to ensure alignment on customer requirements, timely project delivery, and service excellence.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by understanding and addressing key customer pain points, fostering a culture of responsiveness and service orientation across the sales organization.
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales and business development initiatives through CRM and other analytical tools, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
Report on progress against sales and business development goals to executive leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and corrective actions as needed.
Develop and maintain metrics that track activities, progress, and ROI for both sales and business development efforts.

Required
Deep expertise in packaging solutions
Proven ability to lead a sales team effectively while managing multiple priorities
Skilled in identifying and executing new business opportunities with a strategic vision
Ability to work seamlessly across departments, mobilizing resources for customer success and operational alignment
Competence in leveraging CRM and analytics to monitor performance, refine strategies, and report on results
Strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship-building, with an ability to tailor solutions to customer needs
Preferred
Experience in print or thermoforming technologies considered highly valuable
Residing in the Midwest, South, or East Coast area
