Responsibilities

Design, plan, integrate, support, manage, troubleshoot, and upgrade network devices.

Configure and install network devices and services such as firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, load balancers, and WAN.

Proactively monitor network performance, troubleshoot network-related issues, and implement solutions for optimal performance.

Develop and maintain network documentation including network topology, data flow diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Recommend improvements to enhance network performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability while reducing costs.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT support teams.

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend network upgrades and improvements.

Required

Proven experience in the field of network engineering

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs

Hands-on experience with network hardware and software such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Background Check and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Preferred

Familiarity with Gitlab, GitHub, Ansible, and Python

Experience with virtual server environments
