Responsibilities
Support the design, development, documentation, and maintenance of enterprise local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
Support the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of network hardware, software, and communication links.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, electrical engineering, or related field of study
4-6 years in network administration and/or engineering roles in enterprise scale environments
Demonstrated experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation
Familiarity with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
Network connection, hardware, and software troubleshooting experience
Hands-on technical knowledge of network and windows based server and PC operating systems
Experience working in a switched and routed environment
Hardware, software, and network connection troubleshooting experience
Working technical knowledge of current SPHS network hardware
Skilled at installing/configuring hubs, switches, routers, bridges, etc.
Knowledge of anti-virus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other network security measures
Preferred
CCNP: Cisco Certified Network Professional
CCIE: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
MCSE: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
