Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve complex network, system, and application issues that cannot be resolved by Tier I or Tier II team members.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
An escalation point for complex network and firewall configuration and troubleshooting tasks, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Monitor network performance and system health using various monitoring tools.
Conduct regular network and system audits to ensure optimal performance and compliance with company policies.
Implement and manage network performance improvements and optimizations.
Lead incident response efforts for major network outages and service disruptions.
Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to coordinate the resolution of complex issues.
Develop and maintain incident reports, providing detailed documentation and analysis.
Assist with client Check Point and Palo Alto firewall deployments and configuration changes.
Opportunity to assist the Professional Services team with implementation work for network and security devices, including Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, VeloCloud, and Meraki.
Mentor and train Tier I and Tier II team members, helping to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
Create and deliver training sessions on advanced troubleshooting techniques and network management best practices.
Ensure network security measures are in place and functioning correctly.
Assist in the development and enforcement of network security policies and procedures.
Stay up to date with the latest security threats and implement measures to protect the network.

Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience with IP networks and network security, including routing and firewall operations, with at least 2 years in a Tier III or senior role.
Extensive experience with network technologies (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
Proven track record of resolving complex network issues and leading incident response efforts.
Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
Knowledge of cloud services and virtualization technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware).
Experience troubleshooting enterprise networks and cloud environments.
Ability to perform advanced Check Point and Palo Alto configuration and troubleshooting tasks.
Proficiency with IP packet analysis.
Ability to create enterprise network diagrams and documentation.
Preferred
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
Strong understanding of Linux tools, and scripting experience for task orchestration and automation.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
Strong communication skills are critical for regular interaction with clients, partners, and vendors.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
