Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex network problems and improve network performance and reliability
Provide technical leadership and direction for security services initiatives
Support and troubleshoot existing network infrastructure, routers, switches, IPS, various vendor firewalls, and load-balancers
Participate in customer consulting meetings to gather business requirements and developed detailed designs based on those requirements
Participate in Incident Response activities

Required

Experience with Cisco firewalls, intrusion-prevention systems (IPS) and/or data center layer 2/3 switching
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and/or security technologies
Experience with enterprise network routing protocols; such as OSPF, MPLS, VRF and/or BGP
Experience with networking and/ or application load-balancing
Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive experience in network engineering
OR Associate degree in Computer Science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in network engineering
OR High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and seven years of experience in networking or related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Experience with layer 2 & layer 3 Cisco data center Cisco Nexus switches
Experience with F5 local traffic manager (LTM) and global traffic manager (GTM) and/or other load balancing technologies
Network administration experience with cloud services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Provider and/or Azure
