Responsibilities
Lead a Team of new product design engineers.
Conduct product benchmark analysis.
Support new design development and packaging study.
Organize BOM for prototype build and support the prototype RFQ process.
Develop test plan to validate new design ideas and conduct testing.
Define new testing equipment needs.
Summarize tests results and propose next development steps.
Review tolerance stack-up and ensure product fit and function.
Communicate design needs to international vendors and partners.
Responsible for improvements to current products and maintaining product integrity.
Support quality control and problem-solving activities.
Support designing new manufacturing equipment and define test equipment requirements.
Strong knowledge of die casting, metal fabrication, and welded component design processes.

Required
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
5+ years experience in product design
3D modeling experience
Autocad Inventor proficiency a plus
Hands-on and Mechanical Aptitude
Experience using DOE, FEA, Statistics, problem-solving tools, APQP, FMEA, Poka Yoke Design/Design for manufacturability
Potential for travel 5% - 10% annum, including international
Hours – M-F, Flexible, Overtime as required
