Responsibilities

Responsible for operation, maintenance, installation, and replacement of utility production and distribution systems such as chillers, HVAC, boilers, electrical distribution, medical gas, fire protection, pneumatic/DDC controls, Energy Management, water chemical treatment, etc.

Install and maintain dust barriers when performing job duties.

Fill out completed work orders and/or daily time sheets and turn them in daily.

Monitor and maintain required supplies and tools in a neat and orderly fashion.

Notify management of needed supplies in a timely manner by filling out material request forms.

Respond to house calls in a timely manner.

Complete operational logs, reports, corrective and preventative work orders.

Handle off-hours shift and weekend calls by contacting necessary hospital staff or coordinating with hospital personnel.

Monitor hospital equipment, make and log necessary adjustments.

Assist/supervise contractors as necessary when making repairs or working in the building.

High School Diploma or equivalent

5 years of relevant experience 5 to 7 years of documented work experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of chillers and boilers in a 400,000 sq ft commercial, industrial, institutional facility where the chiller plant capacity is 2,000 tons or greater and with a boiler plant of 40,000 lbs./hr. steam capacity or great
