Responsibilities

Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls), electrical (lighting, primary switch gear), and hot water systems.

Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, reverse osmosis system, air compressor systems, air conditioning equipment, and ventilating and hot water heaters.

Report any problems/malfunctions found, analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required.

Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Oversee the activities of contractors working within the building, keep records of building rounds and readings, inform contractors about critical functions, and comply with emergency escalation procedures.
