Responsibilities
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in solving work problems.
Responsible for supervising warehouse and volunteer coordinator teammates to ensure all warehouse and production functions are completed accurately and timely.
Interprets company policies, enforces safety regulations, and motivates workers to achieve work goals.
Recommends measures to improve quality, suggests changes to increase efficiency, and supervises teammates verifying inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers.
Receives produce/product for distributions, programs, and food centers.
Assists Warehouse Manager with partner agencies interactions and support in the Food Center.
Supports Food Center Coordinator and Food Pantry Coordinators in inventory management and distribution.
Completes various tasks including safety inspections, inventory counts, equipment checks, power washing, and personnel safety planning.
Leads in personnel safety and warehouse protection activities, creates and gives presentations about the food bank, and manages volunteer schedules and activities.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area, manages staff attendance and performance, and collaborates with SDFB staff to increase volunteer knowledge.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
2-3 years experience working in a warehouse environment in shipping/receiving, inventory control, or closely related field.
Equivalent combination of training and experience would be considered.
Knowledge of warehouse management and operational procedures and best practices.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
Knowledge of customer service and relations.
Knowledge of working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
Plan, organize and assist in directing the operations of a complex department.
Understand, interpret and explain SDFB policies and procedures.
Analyze complex problems and provide solutions.
Organize, set priorities, and use sound independent judgment.
Communicate clearly and effectively across multiple audiences.
Work independently.
Train and lead employees in work processes and procedures.
Develop and implement appropriate goals and team objectives.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Accurately and efficiently carry out inventory control practices and procedures.
Operate warehouse equipment including a forklift.
Perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions.
Meet intensive and changing deadlines and interact with staff and the public.
Lift 65 pounds.
CA Driver’s license.
Ability to obtain forklift certification.
