Responsibilities
Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services’ rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
Maintains current information of division policies and programs and processes routine matters within established policies.
Processes a variety of routine correspondence, investigates subject matter, and prepares replies.
Handles all travel transactions, including authorizations and reimbursements, for our Habitat, Corals, and Wildlife Health groups.
Reviews records and reports which require action and recommends solutions or courses of action.
Performs fiscal, personnel, purchasing, statistical, reporting, and other major office functions.
Purchase supplies and pay vendors for services.
Assign project codes for purchases in Wildlife Health (WH) spending tracking sheet.
Provides input and recommendations for budget.
Monitor Wildlife Health (WH) state and grant expenditures to ensure compliance with budget plans and match requirements.
Reviews and coordinates implementation of statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Assists in conducting daily administrative activities and/or directing special projects or activities.
Assists with wildlife health data entry.
May participate in public outreach efforts as appropriate.
Performs related work as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required
2 years of professional direct experience in an administrative support position.
An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of administrative experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
Knowledge in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Pro
Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
Skill in collecting, evaluating and analyzing data relating to administrative functions such as accounting, personnel, purchasing or report writing.
Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Preferred
One or more years of working in the State of Florida’s Purchasing Systems (FLAIR, MFMP, PCard)
One or more years of experience working with Florida’s State Travel Management System
