Responsibilities

Develop/support processes and create work instructions for shop technicians.

Initiate and optimize new procedures, adjust existing ones, and participate in design reviews.

Interact with team members from various departments and prepare program plans.

Design and develop tooling and equipment, conduct research investigations, and analyze information for reporting.

Ensure adequate Product Information/Technical Product Documentation and contribute to good cooperation within the team.

Teach/mentor less experienced colleagues, ensure designs meet specifications, and deliver complex products/services.

Indicate and report recurring problems, work with technical product documentation, and initiate enhancements.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Optical Engineering, or a related field.

1-3 years experience in optical manufacturing or similar production roles.

Experience in glass CNC machines desirable.

Proven experience in manufacturing and product development.

Proficiency in quality improvement and monitor tools, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical process control (SPC).

Familiarity with standard measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauge)

Experience using CAD (computer-aided design) and CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) software.

Experience with production drawings.

Strong teamwork skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Strong data collection and analytical abilities.
