Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems (Oracle 11g/12c/19c and beyond).

Perform regular database backups and disaster recovery planning.

Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.

Implement database security measures and ensure compliance with company policies.

Assist in database upgrades and patching to ensure up-to-date security and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and data corruption.

Perform database tuning and query optimization to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with development teams to support database-related application development and deployment.

Manage database storage and ensure proper archiving and retention policies.

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience as an Oracle DBA (working with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, etc.).

In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and backup/recovery techniques.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-performance environments.

Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

Experience in database security best practices and encryption.

Good understanding of cloud technologies (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) and related database management.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, ASM, and GoldenGate is a plus.

Oracle certification (OCP) is preferred but not required.

Federal Experience is a plus.
