Responsibilities

Enter codes to create production databases and use utility programs for monitoring database performance.

Direct changes to the database management system and make performance enhancements through tuning.

Oversee planning, development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems to align with design parameters.

Evaluate user requests for new data elements, incorporate them into existing databases, and ensure data integrity and security.

Design relational databases, create physical data models, and maintain data dictionaries to ensure consistency.

Monitor database performance, recommend improvements, and maintain disaster recovery procedures.

Develop logical and physical database models, perform prototyping, and assist in security and database recovery procedures.

Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to support application portfolio enhancements.

Create test environments for applications, define storage requirements, and perform advanced logical database administration tasks.

Build databases using Java/J2EE, SOAP/REST web services, AngularJS, IBM WebSphere, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.

Support cross-functional development teams in optimizing application/query performance.

Develop and modify Linux shell scripts and design Enterprise CI/CD workflows using automation tools like Jenkins.

Manage SQL and PL/SQL code, provide LDBA support for large development projects, and ensure compliance with EIR Accessibility standards.

8+ years of experience in implementing, administering, managing, and monitoring application databases in both production and non-production environments, ensuring data integrity and security.

8+ years of advanced knowledge and expertise in developing and optimizing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.

8+ years of experience with database automation, aligning with Enterprise CI/CD workflows, and using automation tools such as Jenkins or similar platforms.

8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX development.

8+ years of experience in performance tuning, advising developers on tuning options, and utilizing Explain Plan to determine the best strategies for performance improvements.

8+ years of experience supporting cross-functional teams, analyzing data relationships, and optimizing application/query performance.

8+ years of in-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, built-in functions, and architecture, including familiarity with tablespace consolidation, database reorganization, partition analysis, and index analysis.

8+ years of proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues in development and production databases using Oracle 11g/19c on Solaris/Linux systems, working effectively with cross-functional teams.

8+ years of advanced knowledge in monitoring, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle databases, specifically in Solaris/Linux environments.

8+ years of experience using Oracle SQL Developer for database development and management.

8+ years of hands-on experience with the Erwin Modeling tool to create data models from scratch, including techniques like star schema modeling.

8+ years of experience developing tools using SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux shell scripts to provide LDBA support for large-scale test and development database environments.

8+ years of hands-on experience in large development projects using Agile methodology.
