Responsibilities
Install, configure, and customize Oracle databases in both Non-RAC and RAC environments.
Implement software and related tools/products for Oracle database systems, ensuring they meet performance and scalability needs.
Implement Oracle Grid Infrastructure release 19c or higher on a Redhat Linux platform.
Configure, support, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC and ASM technologies, ensuring the reliability and availability of databases in a clustered environment.
Implement Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) cluster filesystems, ensuring data is stored and maintained efficiently across the Oracle environment.
Add new disks to ASM disk groups and maintain storage configurations for optimal performance.
Utilize Linux administration skills for managing server environments and performing system maintenance as required.
Develop UNIX shell scripts to automate database maintenance and other administrative tasks.
Use Ansible for automating Oracle database infrastructure tasks, streamlining operations across teams.
Utilize Oracle Database Resource Manager to optimize database resource utilization and ensure balanced workloads across systems.
Work closely with the Database team and Unix engineers to design, build, upgrade, and support Oracle database systems.
Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for Oracle-related issues and incidents within the organization.
Work with the latest versions of Oracle databases, including features such as Multi-Tenant Architecture, Oracle Partitioning, Oracle Database Vault, and Real Application Testing (RAT).
Implement, manage, and maintain database security measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization tasks to enhance the efficiency of Oracle databases.
Perform regular database backups and restore processes as part of the disaster recovery plan.

Required
Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in database engineering, with a focus on Oracle technologies.
Experience with Oracle RAC environments and Grid Infrastructure.
Hands-on experience implementing Grid Infrastructure release 19c or higher on a Redhat Linux environment.
In-depth experience in implementing and maintaining Oracle ASM cluster filesystems, including adding new disks to ASM disk groups.
Familiarity with Oracle Database Resource Manager for workload management and optimization.
Proficient in Ansible automation and UNIX shell scripting for automation of Oracle database tasks.
Experience with the latest Oracle database features such as Multi-Tenant Architecture, Oracle Partitioning, Real Application Testing (RAT), and Oracle Database Vault.
Strong Linux administration skills for supporting Oracle environments in a Unix/Linux operating system.
Preferred
In-depth experience with Oracle database security and best practices.
Previous work in a high-availability production environment with mission-critical Oracle databases.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams (database administrators, system administrators, engineers, etc.) to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle systems.
Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle deployments (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS with Oracle Database).
