Responsibilities

Lead and Develop: Mentor and develop the Referral Management team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Oversee Referral Processes: Manage the referral response process, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements (OPTN, CMS, FDA, CDC), and internal policies.
Strategic Scheduling: Create comprehensive schedules to ensure optimal staffing, accommodate new hire training, and balance PTO requests.
Drive Corrective Actions: Manage and collaborate on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Preventive Action Reports (PAR), ensuring effective resolution and monitoring.
Policy Development: Develop and update policies to align with regulatory standards and ensure effective communication with all relevant staff.
Hiring and Collaboration: Participate in hiring processes for Referral Management Coordinators and foster strong hospital partnerships.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement workflow enhancements, track progress, and introduce innovative technologies to optimize efficiency.
Strategic Planning: Analyze staffing needs, support budget development, and ensure resource efficiency for long-term growth.

Required

Degree in a healthcare field or 5+ years of Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) experience.
Proven track record of strong leadership and team development.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.

Preferred

Certification by the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) is preferred but not required.
