Responsibilities

Conduct fielding tasks (Engineering Design Notetaking, pole data collection, etc.) without supervision.
Gather field data for railroad, waterway crossings and controlled access permits.
Utilize field data for design.
Review jurisdiction documentation and field data to determine design within Right-Of-Way.
Design/draft construction and permit drawings with minimal guidance.
Create Bill of Materials.
Assist Project Manager in preparing Project proposals, including scope of work, fees, and schedules.
Engages in industry events and organizations as requested.
Develop and maintain effective professional relationships.

Required

5+ years' experience in linear utility engineering and design, experience in fiber-optic/coaxial OSP experience not required but preferred.
Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, or similar software packages with the ability to design projects through completion.
Qualified candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be willing to travel.
Drivers license is required.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related engineering degree not required but preferred.
EIT license not required but preferred.
Proficiency with Vetro and IQGeo is preferred.
Knowledge of local city, county, and state and utility permitting regulations preferred.
