Responsibilities
Organize, draft and coordinate RMUC outreach, communication and engagement events (e.g., listening sessions, newsletters, webinars, workshops, etc.) to ensure they run smoothly and are a success for both the client and attendees. Elements of this support may include, but not limited to: Planning: creating event concepts, selecting a venue, developing a schedule with associated milestones, creating the run-of-show, drafting event agenda, leading coordination calls, etc. Drafting communication: Creating the initial draft for newsletters, email send outs to utilities, etc. Budgeting: preparing budgets and managing event finances. Logistics: coordinating logistics, such as rooms, IT equipment, etc. Crisis management: anticipating potential issues and creating mitigation plans. Post-event reporting: drafting a lessons learned report after each event
Prepare and distribute meeting and program-related documents in a timely manner for review and processing
Develop a variety of communication drafts for initial review with RMUC program management, stakeholder engagement plans, and outreach plans
Providing quality control and quality assurance to ensure products are accurate and adhere to all RMUC branding, communications, and Department of Energy

Required
U.S. citizenship
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of utility outreach/event management experience
1+ years of Information Technology or Cybersecurity experience
Must have demonstrated knowledge of the energy sector and its stakeholders
Ability to work both independently and as an effective member of a collaborative team
Exceptional communication and organization skill
Experience in managing multiple tasks at once
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred
1+ years of experience as a technical writer is preferred
Experience with managing outreach and engagement events that are compliant with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) is highly desired
Experience with managing listening sessions (or similar events such as feedback sessions, stakeholder interviews, roundtable discussions, etc.) from start to finish is highly desired
