Responsibilities

Drafts, reviews, and implements plans, policies, and procedures for collaborating with partner organizations and administering outreach programs and projects.
Develops communication and training strategies to promote outreach accomplishments and to publicize RMA outreach training and technical assistance programs.
Identifies and develops measurable outreach strategies for reaching underserved segments and expanding partnership opportunities.
Contributes to the development of meaningful and measurable metrics and performance indicators to examine and analyze the effectiveness of outreach and related work.

Required

You must be a US Citizen or US National.
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement 11/29/2024 including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education.
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
One full-time year of specialized work experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service or private sector equivalent.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying a wide range of oral and written communication principles, practices, and techniques, sufficient to gain support and design, plan and administer a comprehensive outreach program; analyzing and evaluating an outreach program to determine the effectiveness of program delivery; modification of standard methods and adaptation of approaches in developing and disseminating new informational materials aimed at enhancing the understanding of significant agricultural programs among the general public and specialized groups; maintaining relationships with representatives of public and private organizations, farmers' associations, and others to interpret agricultural statutes, regulations, programs, and policies affecting them.
