Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operation of PACS, ensuring system availability, performance, and reliability.
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and backups of PACS to ensure data integrity and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PACS and associated imaging equipment.
Provide technical support to radiologists, technologists, and other PACS users.
Conduct training sessions for new users and ongoing education for existing users to maximize system utilization.
Develop and maintain user manuals and documentation.
Manage the storage, retrieval, and archiving of medical images and related data.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies for data security and patient privacy.
Monitor and optimize storage capacity and performance.
Collaborate with IT, radiology, and other departments to integrate PACS with other healthcare information systems (HIS/RIS).
Work with vendors and service providers to manage system upgrades, patches, and technical support.
Participate in the planning and implementation of new imaging technologies and workflows.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of imaging data.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards of image quality and system performance.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to PACS.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, healthcare administration, radiologic technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in PACS administration or a related role.
Strong technical skills with knowledge of PACS, DICOM standards, and medical imaging workflows.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
Preferred
Experience with AI Doc radiology software.
