Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for paper and disposable products, aligning with organizational objectives and ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability.
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring the best terms for pricing, delivery, quality, and service. Build strong partnerships to foster long-term collaboration and continuous improvement.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, price fluctuations, and new product innovations. Adjust the category strategy as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve margins, and ensure maximum value for the company.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain optimal inventory levels of paper and disposable products, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations.
Work closely with internal teams (marketing, operations, etc.) to select new paper and disposable products that meet customer needs, quality standards, and sustainability goals.
Incorporate sustainability best practices into category management by sourcing eco-friendly products, reducing waste, and promoting responsible sourcing policies.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the category, including cost savings, supplier performance, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery, and report results to senior leadership.
Work with internal teams (sales, operations, and finance) to ensure alignment on category goals and objectives, and to address any supply chain challenges or product-related issues.
