Responsibilities

Assisting the Vice President of Associate General Counsel and the Legal Department in all phases of the case management process

Ensure an exceptional level of client service is provided at all times

Work with minimum supervision in performing the day-to-day work responsibilities

Partner with their peers in providing legal services to our internal clients

Assist to ensure that the services CPLC provides are following all federal, state, local laws and regulations, certifications, licensing and funding requirements

Maintain general responsibilities in assisting with litigation case management, entity creation and management, contract management, mergers, acquisitions, and transactions

Maintenance of the Legal Department systems

Support to the Legal Department staff in all areas as needs arise

Required

Minimum four to six years (4-6) of responsible experience as a paralegal working in a legal office environment.

Associate’s degree and paralegal certificate required.

Experience managing a high volume of work and complex legal matters.

Excellent oral and written communication.

Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to offer dissenting points of view in consistently constructive and positive ways.

Ability to generate respect and trust while fostering cross-functional collaboration and a strong sense of teamwork.

Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Strong research, writing and legal analysis skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.

Ability to identify critical issues and brainstorm resolutions, prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and a willingness to handle all levels of work assigned.

Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.

A wide degree of creativity, latitude and knowledge to meet the challenges faced by this position.
