Responsibilities
Manage daily financial transactions and assist with reporting, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, expenses, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks online
Ensure all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with nonprofit accounting standards.
Provide inputs into monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and the board of directors.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to nonprofit financial management.
Track and report on grants and donations, ensuring proper allocation and compliance with donor restrictions.
Provide support for financial aspects of fundraising activities and events.
Respond to inquiries from staff and stakeholders regarding financial processes and records.

Required
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a nonprofit setting.
Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
Experience with grant management and reporting.
Knowledge of accounting software beyond QuickBooks.
Familiarity with IRS regulations related to nonprofits is a plus.
