Responsibilities
Schedule new patients, referrals, and returning patients in the computer system according to office guidelines
Obtain and enter insurance authorizations and related correspondence into patient records
Collect co-pays and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of visits
Arrange financial counseling for patients as needed
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow office policies to ensure front office efficiency

Required
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years of medical office work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with computer systems; familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred
Experience in an oncology or hematology clinic environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
