Responsibilities
Proactively obtain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for payments that were not accompanied by payments at the time of posting.
Ensure timely and accurate collection of EOBs to support the billing and payment reconciliation process.
Secure access to payment remittance information, including both PDF EOBs and 835 electronic remittance files, if applicable.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to set up and maintain access to remittance portals and systems.
Assist in the setup and configuration of systems for 835 posting files to streamline the payment posting process.
Work closely with IT and Product Delivery support teams to ensure seamless integration of remittance data into the billing system.
Research enrollment requirements by payor and develop working knowledge of payor policies, requirements and necessary forms for multiple states and update management on all changes to enrollment requirements.

Required
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Minimum of six months previous work experience in medical billing and possess basic knowledge of healthcare payment remittances and payment enrollment.
Ensure all processes adhere to regulatory standards and organizational policies regarding the handling of payment and patient information.
Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to missing or incomplete EOBs and remittance data.
Preferred
Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare management preferred.
Knowledge of payer enrollment regulations is strongly preferred.
