Responsibilities

Manage, coach, and develop a remote team of payment recovery associates and supervisors to achieve individual and team performance goals.
Conduct regular virtual performance evaluations, set developmental plans, and utilize digital communication tools to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Lead the day-to-day remote operations of the payment recovery services, ensuring timely and accurate handling of outstanding variances, adjustments, and reimbursements.
Identify and implement workflow optimizations to enhance remote efficiency and productivity.
Ensure all recovery activities comply with industry regulations, payer contracts, and organizational policies.
Maintain high standards of quality control and oversee audit processes remotely, ensuring minimal risk and maximum compliance.
Monitor and analyze remote team performance metrics (KPIs) related to payment recovery.
Prepare reports on performance trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, leveraging data analytics to guide strategy and remote team direction.
Foster collaborative relationships with internal departments (such as HR, IT, Learning & Development, Compliance, Finance, Client Services/Business Development, and other service lines) and external stakeholders through remote communication channels.
Ensure alignment on strategies and payment recovery goals.
Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance recovery rates, reduce days to payment, and increase remote team operational effectiveness.
Serve as a virtual liaison for clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates on payment recovery initiatives, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective remote communication.
Responsible for day to day operations of staff and client needs.
Other duties as assigned.

Required

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payment recovery, AR collections, or healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership and remote team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of payment recovery processes, payer contracts, and revenue cycle operations.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and implement actionable strategies.
Familiarity with remote communication tools (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.) and proficiency in relevant claims management, revenue cycle platforms, and contract modeling systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, SSI, Availity, Experian, PCON, FinThrive, etc).
Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage effectively in a remote environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Remote and Hybrid positions require home internet connections that meet the Company’s upload and download speed criteria.

Preferred

Remote management experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
