Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering: Proactively work with the team and perform research from public sources to to understand and implement new payment flows

API Development: Define APIs that facilitate seamless integration to Modo’s payment orchestration platform using YAML and jq

Payment System Connectors: Define Connectors between our payment orchestration platform and payment gateways using YAML and jq

Data Analysis: Analyze payment data to identify how to perform normalization, optimize payment flows, and mitigate errors.

Problem Solving: Troubleshoot payment flow issues and implement solutions to ensure smooth operations.

Testing: work closely with Quality Assurance to create automated tests using Bruno

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product, client delivery) to deliver projects and enhancements.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or commensurate experience. Or enthusiasm. Attitude goes a long way.

Strong understanding of payment processing concepts, including card authorization and capture, bank ACH origination, processing settlement, refunds, returns and disputes.

Working knowledge of some sort of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, R, Excel/Access scripting).

Understanding of basic programming logic structures

Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

Knowledge of jq and YAML is a plus but not required as long as you are willing to learn.
