Responsibilities
Process and verify accurate payroll for employees, ensuring timely distribution of wages and benefits.
Prepare payroll reports, including salary, tax liabilities, and overtime usage, for management.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations, partnering with legal teams to update policies.
Oversee tax reporting, reconciliations, and year-end tasks like W-2 distribution.
Administer payroll systems, addressing discrepancies and ensuring smooth operations.
Collaborate with HR and Accounting to deliver insightful payroll and labor cost data.
Educate employees and managers on payroll policies and resolve inquiries efficiently.
Stay updated on labor and tax law changes to ensure compliance and recommend improvements.

Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and labor compliance.
Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity, Paycom) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, including FLSA and FMLA.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strict adherence to CPM's policies, and federal regulations from NCUA and FFIEC, including GLB and BSA is required.
Preferred
Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional) or SHRM-CP/PHR preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field is a plus.
