Responsibilities
Process and review bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure accurate calculation of wages and deductions by checking hours worked, pay changes, and post-tax deductions to employee paychecks
Review payroll data to ensure compliance with company policies and laws
Prepare payroll reports and analyze data and resolve any issues
Work closely with HR to coordinate benefits, deductions, and time-off accruals
Prepare journal entries related to bi-weekly payroll expenses including monthly/ quarterly accruals
Maintain payroll records and confidential payroll information
Process new grants as well as varied transactions with strong know-how of accounting, legal and tax implications
Process employee transactions to exercise options and calculate withholding taxes, as required
Track and process day-to-day activities of employees’ preclearance to equity system
Assist with company’s ESPP enrollment and purchase
Prepare journal entries related to equity compensation cost
Assist internal and external auditors with requests and implement controls, as needed
Work on any ad hoc projects
Review and process employee expense reports per the Company and IRS policies by using Expensify
Work with employees to resolve discrepancies or issues related to expenses
Manage corporate credit card transactions, ensuring they are recorded and classified accurately
Assist employees with any questions related to corporate credit card usage and limits
Monitor corporate credit card usage and ensure compliance with company guidelines
Prepare journal entries related to expense reports (Reimbursable, Corp Credit and accrual).

Required
Biotech/Pharmaceutical experience required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of experience in payroll processing, finance, or accounting.
Familiarity with UKG payroll software and expense management tools (Expensify/ Concur).
Strong knowledge of tax laws, payroll regulations, and financial best practices.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite ERP software experience a plus.
Experience with equity compensation management (stock options, RSUs).
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
