Payroll Manager (Part-time)

Responsibilities
Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for part-time and full-time employees and 1099 contractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, timecards, and deductions.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure proper handling of benefits, bonuses, and other compensation adjustments.
Manage submitting payroll tax fillings, and support year-end processes, such as W-2 distribution.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Required
Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably 3 years within a multi-state organization.
Experience with full-cycle payroll processing.
Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., Paycor, ADP, Gusto) and accounting systems.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain payroll processes to employees.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
