Responsibilities

Manage the entire payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, province and local regulations.

Review and approve Canada and U.S. payroll registers for semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.

Manage 401k audits and worker’s comp audits.

Manage Leave of Absences.

Produce budget reports for the finance department.

Review benefits invoices and approve for payment.

Lead and oversee the implementation and ongoing management of Workday Payroll, optimizing system functionality to streamline payroll processes.

Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll records, reconciliations, and audits.

Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on payroll and benefits inquiries, providing support and guidance as needed.

Stay updated on payroll legislation to ensure compliance and recommend changes as necessary.

Develop and maintain payroll reports, metrics, and dashboards for leadership review.

Supervise the payroll team and deliver necessary trainings.
