Responsibilities
Coordinate and distribute payroll tax related documents with Ceridian to ensure compliance in multi-state payroll reporting and tax payments
Review payroll tax fallout report for accuracy, complete POAs, and register for payroll tax accounts as needed
Research delinquent payroll tax filings and resolve with Ceridian and the agencies as needed
Identify government reporting regulations impacting payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage and hour laws
Obtain online accounts for all active jurisdictions and ensure state agencies’ websites are current with company changes
Reconcile payroll tax accounts quarterly
Analyze, validate, and correct variances on quarterly tax filings
Review weekly payroll reports to ensure cash flow is accurate
Review tax set up for new hires and employee changes
Complete payroll tax audits (e.g., virtual/hybrid workers, year-end zero reporting, etc.)
Assist with W2 and W2-C reporting
Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to the payroll tax processes
Assist with employee tax issues
Update SUI rate changes as needed

Required
3-5 years’ experience in multi-state payroll tax role
Familiarity with an HRIS system or similar large database
Strong capability with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
Ability to work under tight time constraints and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to exercise extreme confidentiality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Detail oriented, organized, consistent and reliable with follow-through
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred
Experience with Ceridian Tax Services
