Responsibilities
Creates and peer reviews Performance test plans, data creation strategies and accuracy in all Performance scenarios.
Independently develops and maintains complex automated performance test scenarios that measure and validate performance against requirements. Includes, but not limited to the test execution, analysis, reporting and presenting of performance test results to internal and external team members.
Creates test strategies, utilizing knowledge of performance testing best practices including but not limited to virtual users, think time, pacing, latency, and packet loss.
Utilizes Application Performance Monitoring tools (APM) to observe application and infrastructure performance across diverse hardware, operating systems, application servers, and databases. Provides suggestions as to how the APM solutions can be better utilized.
Assist in resolving impediments and to drive solutions to technical issues.
Researches and drives issues to resolution to keep testing and project schedules are on track. Communicates testing and project status to management as necessary.
Acquires and utilizes in-depth business, software application and technical knowledge to maximize effectiveness and quality when working on project tasks.
Mentor, influence and effectively communicate with other team members in the areas of Performance Engineering.
Participate and evangelizes in creating a Performance culture across PD&IT.
Can clearly and concisely communicate to management and project teams.
Effectively escalates issues to management when needed.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
3 years of experience in combined experience in any of the following: performance diagnostics, capacity planning, performance architecture design, performance tuning, performance monitoring, or code profiling.
3 years of experience in Testing applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms. Testing/developing multi-tiered and distributed applications. Programming languages such as Java, C,.Net Scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, javascript.
3 years of experience in Hands-on experience with any of the following Client Experience monitoring tools (or similar): HPE LoadRunner/Performance Center, ReadyAPI, AppDynamics, Splunk, Jmeter, etc….
3 years of experience in Hands-on experience with any of the following profiling or diagnostics tools (or similar): Yourkit, Fiddler, or WireShark.
3 years of experience in Cloud Technologies: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Openshift (Kubernetes based) Application servers such as HP Weblogic, Microsoft.Net, Jboss - Databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Informix Database or application tuning experience.
