Responsibilities
Captures images that document, illustrate, and promote the people, programs, and facilities of the university.
Respond to internal photo requests.
Assure that all photo assignments are shot, submitted, and processed by the requested deadline.
Responsible for photo adjustments and light re-touching before photos are published.
Photograph in studio, classroom, and field environments, using both natural and artificial lighting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem solve during shoots.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated ability in visual problem solving.
Work with Photography Project Coordinator on reviewing requests, planning for photoshoots/staff scheduling, etc.
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends in photography.
Proven experience in shooting and editing well-composed photos for a wide range of communications and marketing purposes, including portraits, candids, environmentals, and event photography.

Required
Four-year college degree, preferably in photography
1-2 years' experience
Professional level of expertise in digital editing, workflow, and color management
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, and Photo Mechanic)
Effective communication both verbally and in writing
Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment
Excellent computer and organizational skills
Regularly required to lift up to 75 pounds
