Responsibilities

Implement a scalable, reliable, and secure data platform architecture using cloud-native services (GCP, Fivetran, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery or equivalent).

Define and implement data governance policies and procedures, including data quality, security, and access control (e.g., Data Catalog, Collibra, Alation, Dataplex).

Optimize SQL queries and database performance across relational and NoSQL databases.

Design and implement data warehousing/ Lakehouse solutions.

Participate in Agile software development processes.

Required

Demonstrated ability as a Data Architect, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on platform-level data architecture in microservices or distributed system environment.

Extensive experience with cloud-native technologies, specifically GCP, AWS or Azure.

Deep understanding and hands-on experience implementing data governance frameworks and using associated tools.

Demonstrable experience designing backend data solutions for high-performing RESTful APIs.

Good communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Legal authorization to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
