Responsibilities

Define and implement the overall architecture of our SaaS platform
Lead the development of core platform services and ensure their seamless integration
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
Collaborate with the team to create comprehensive technical documentation
Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Actively contribute to infrastructure automation, monitoring, and alerting strategies

Required

8+ years of relevant industry experience
Proven experience as a Technical Lead responsible for guiding the work of others while also being a world-class individual contributor
Proven system design and solution architecture abilities
Expert proficiency in NodeJS+TypeScript backends (Express, TypeORM) as well as Python, and ideally some experience in a modern compiled language such as Go or Rust
Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
Expert experience with AWS and strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Cloudformation and/or Terraform)
Production experience at scale operating a SaaS platform (ideally within healthcare and/or with an AI element)
Expert in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools
Well versed with Docker and Lambda

Preferred

Prior experience as part of a founding team building a SaaS platform from 0->1 and dealing with growth+scaling milestones
Previous experience in the healthcare/health tech industry
Experience with AI/ML platforms and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
Strong background with React and ability to flex to supporting front-end work
Experience across all three major cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
Previous experience working with healthcare data (FHIR r4, HL7) and integration/interoperability with EHRs
