Responsibilities

Lead the design of transmission lines in the 69kV to 550kV range in PLS-CADD to comply with the client’s standards, specifications, preferences, and relevant industry standards

Apply remotely sensed data (LiDAR) to existing transmission line models in PLS-CADD with neatness and a small margin of error

Perform structural analysis and design of structures (pole, lattice, framed, and guyed)

Specify transmission line components

Conduct batch thermal analysis to evaluate the thermal performance of transmission lines

Analyze the thermal ratings of conductors, considering factors like ambient temperature, wind speed, solar radiation, and current-carrying capacity

Coordinate with project team, technical specialists and experts to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines

Review and approve PLS-CADD models. Perform quality checks and ensure accuracy of design deliverables

Identify potential risks and solutions during the design phase
