Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor the operation of refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, and hot water systems.

Perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical system equipment.

Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing, motors, air compressors, heat exchangers, and controls.

Maintain tools, order supplies, and keep logs of equipment repairs.

Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Perform other duties as assigned, such as machinery and building inspections.

Required

Journeyman plumbing license

High school diploma or state equivalent required, minimum of two years of related trade schooling or two years of college

Minimum four years experience in electrician trade or related field or minimum four years experience in HVAC/refrigeration trade or related field or minimum four years experience in emergency backup systems (generators, UPS, etc.)

Skilled in use of tools and machinery required by the position

Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes

May be required to successfully complete training, qualification related to the client's programs, or secure licenses required for the operation of the property within one year of start date. I.E. Client Electrical Safety Owner (ESO), Thermal/Combustion Safety Program, Process Safety Programs. Acquire Steam Boiler Operator License (AHJ dependent), Fire Pump, Alarm, Sprinkler System Inspector license, Back-flow Tester license, etc. Training, materials, resources and time will be provided to the employee

Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports and has excellent customer service skills

Familiar with computer equipment and programs
