Responsibilities

Underwrite, Analyze and Close Loans: Working with the relationship manager, take a lead role in the structuring, underwriting and analysis of commercial loan requests. Prepare credit approval packages, present recommendations to the credit team/senior management, and close complex commercial loans.

Portfolio Management: Responsible for monitoring the credit quality of the assigned portfolio by periodically evaluating financial trends, covenant compliance and borrowing bases, including the preparation of annual (or more frequent) reviews. In addition, responsible for managing delinquencies and collateral exceptions.

Relationship Management: Highly visible role in managing the client relationship along with the deal team.

Training: Mentor, train and develop junior team members.

Maintaining Knowledge: Knowledgeable about the various commercial products available to clients as well as general market/industry trends.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field, required at any level

Excellent leadership and communication skills enabling smooth and efficient loan closings as well as daily portfolio management

3-5 years of experience for Portfolio Manager I, may include less experience per management evaluation if individuals demonstrated the ability or met requirements of the portfolio manager position

5-8 years of experience for Portfolio Manager II

8-12 years of experience for Portfolio Manager III

12+ years of experience for Senior Portfolio Manager

Handles transactions/relationships/portfolio with the lowest level of complexity for Portfolio Manager I

Handles transactions/relationships/portfolio with moderate level of complexity for Portfolio Manager II

Handles transactions/relationships/portfolio with high level of complexity for Portfolio Manager III

Handles transactions/relationships/portfolio with the highest level of complexity for Senior Portfolio Manager

Experience working with less experienced team members to mentor and develop them, sharing expertise and insights for Portfolio Manager III and Senior Portfolio Manager

A high level of oral and written interpersonal skills are necessary to recommend loan transactions to bank senior management for Senior Portfolio Manager
