Responsibilities

Investigate the role of lymphoid structures in the gut in inflammatory bowel diseases, and the role of intestinal lymphoid structures in response to anti-trafficking therapies.
Explore the role of intestinal eosinophils in ulcerative colitis and in response to anti-trafficking therapies.
Characterization of patient-derived intestinal tissues using flow cytometry and transcriptional analysis.
Obtain mechanistical insights using in vitro model systems.
Gain mechanistic insights in how intestinal lymphoid structures, antigen-specific immune responses and intestinal eosinophils contribute to the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel diseases.
Understand how currently available anti-trafficking drugs affect intestinal lymphoid structures, antigen-specific immune responses and eosinophils.

Required

PhD in Biomedical Sciences
Broadly trained in various aspects of translational GI research
Experience in flow cytometry
Experience in conventional and advanced histological and imaging procedures
Experience in routine transcriptomic and proteomic analyses
Experience in bioinformatic and statistical handling of big-data sets (microbiome)
