Responsibilities
Targeting cancer stem cells (CSCs) is crucial for effective cancer treatment. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance to LGR5+ CSCs depletion in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain largely elusive. As part of this post-doctoral project the candidate will explore the role of oncofetal (OnF) reprogramming of the LGR5+ stem cells (SCs) in the context of WNT-driven CRC lineage plasticity. Drug and genetic screening will be initiated to uncover targetable vulnerabilities in CRC.
