Responsibilities
Perform Molecular Simulations: Conduct enhanced molecular dynamics simulations to examine the structure, dynamics, and activation processes of GPCRs, integrating modeling techniques and Markov State Modeling to uncover kinetic selection mechanisms;
Advanced Computational Analyses: Lead computational analyses on GPCRs and other membrane proteins, generating insights into critical structure-function relationships;
Generative Modeling and Deep Learning: Engage in generative modeling and deep learning projects to predict compounds with specific bioactive properties, contributing to the lab's ongoing innovation in computational biology;
Methodological Innovation: Propose and develop novel research methodologies that propel the lab's research goals, offering unique insights and innovative ideas for experimental design;
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Rigorously analyze data and interpret findings to provide a comprehensive understanding of receptor signaling mechanisms, drawing impactful conclusions that inform lab directions.
Publication and Grant Preparation: Prepare preliminary findings for grant proposals submitted by the lab and assist in drafting manuscripts for publication in top scientific journals, ensuring clear and precise presentation of research progress and discoveries;
Collaborative Support and Mentorship: Work closely with the research team, mentoring graduate students and contributing to an inclusive, supportive academic environment that fosters intellectual growth and collaboration.
