Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive database administration tasks, ensuring optimal system performance and data integrity.

Work with various database management platforms, with a preference for Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Manage cloud-based databases, ideally within AWS RDS environments.

Automate database processes and develop scripts to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Design and model databases, including creating Entity-Relationship (E-R) diagrams and performing data normalization.

Optimize SQL queries and implement tuning and indexing strategies for performance enhancement.

Uphold database security measures, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and access control.

Oversee database backup and recovery operations, as well as monitor system performance.

Facilitate data migration and integration projects, including ETL processes and data warehousing.
