Responsibilities
Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter experts to understand data sources, business logic, and requirements.
Design and develop efficient data models that optimize query performance and ensure data accuracy.
Transform data from various sources into a structured format suitable for reporting.
Create interactive and visually appealing reports using Power BI.
Develop meaningful dashboards that provide a holistic view of business metrics.
Choose appropriate chart types and implement conditional formatting to highlight critical data points.
Optimize report performance by minimizing data refresh times and improving query efficiency.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine reports.
Document data sources, transformations, and report logic for future reference.

Required
Strong expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
Experience working with healthcare data including but not limited to medical claims data.
Effective communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Analytical mindset to identify data-related challenges and propose solutions.
Experience in data modeling and transformation collaborating with business analysts and subject matter experts.
Experience in report development creating interactive and visually appealing reports using Power BI.
Experience in dashboard design developing meaningful dashboards that provide a holistic view of business metrics.
Experience in data visualization choosing appropriate chart types and implementing conditional formatting.
Experience in performance optimization of reports by minimizing data refresh times and improving query efficiency.
Experience in collaboration and documentation with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine reports.
Preferred
Prior experience working with healthcare data including medical claims data.
Preferred Medicaid or Medicare experience at a medical insurance company or equivalent work history at a State or Federal level for these programs.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or closely related field.
