Power Systems Project Specialist

Responsibilities
Manage the details of assigned projects including:
Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.
Enter and manage new sales orders into company ERP system. Generate and issue purchase orders to vendors.
Logistics and shipments of heavy machinery.
Field services, repairs, and preventative maintenance contracts for power equipment.
Rental deployments with the goal of minimizing customer downtime.
Technical support and customer service
Warranty claims
After-hours project support and be a part of the emergency response team.
Monitor and manage project payment and invoicing schedules.
Manage costs to stay within budget.
Follow company procedures and ensure correct documentation is in place.
Arrange logistics to meet project deadlines.
Arrange and organize field services.
Communicate additional services and business opportunities to salesperson and customer.
Assist in proposal preparation, bids, and contract negotiation
Actively look for cost-savings opportunities and discuss with team.
Offer and track change orders to upsell additional products and services to customers
Coordinate all aspects of account development with Account Manager and Vice President of Production.
Perform front-end sales support, including sourcing for equipment and services and vendor qualification.
Collect and update customer information into company CRM.
Actively develop product knowledge and project management skills relative to account development.
Foster an environment as a team member that is open, honest, and fun
Other responsibilities and tasks as specified by Global management
Attend and actively participate in periodic training

Required
Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Experience working with CRM software as an organizational, tracking and planning tool
Experience working with video conferencing software programs
Have 5-10 years heavy machinery or power equipment project management and logistics experience.
Must have a technical aptitude and eagerness to learn
Contract Negotiation
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
Extraordinarily high sense of urgency and able to manage changing priorities
Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines and changing priorities.

Some travel required
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering or related field preferred.
Training in power systems a plus.
Power generation or heavy machinery
Diesel and natural gas engines/generators
UPS, energy storage and renewable energy
Controls and Control Systems
Fabrication of Custom Enclosures, Fuel Tanks, Engineered Products
Local, State and national electric codes
Local, State and national emission regulations
