Responsibilities

Develop and enhance PowerShell based solutions for automation and system management across a wide range of platforms, Operating Systems (OS) including Windows is Must, Linux,/ macOS.

Design, implement, and integrate PowerShell scripts, PowerShell CLI (Command-line Shell) and modules to automate tasks, improve workflows, and support CI/CD environments.

Leverage PowerShell's capabilities, such as command-line history, tab completion, syntax coloring, and predictive IntelliSense, to build powerful automation scripts.

Utilize PowerShell’s extensible scripting features, such as functions, classes, scripts, and modules, to meet diverse system management and automation needs.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate PowerShell automation into enterprise solutions and products.

Implement PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) to manage infrastructure with configuration as code and enforce configuration settings.

Maintain the functionality of in-console help systems and provide detailed documentation for scripts and modules to ensure easy troubleshooting and maintenance.

Develop solutions for managing and automating systems within domains like Active Directory, Microsoft, Azure, Exchange, and SQL.

Utilize third-party cloud services, including AWS, VMware, and Google Cloud, to automate infrastructure tasks and enhance cloud integrations.

Monitor, test, and deploy PowerShell based automation in CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and repeatable deployments.

Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of PowerShell scripts and automation workflows.

Required

Expert-level proficiency in PowerShell scripting, with deep knowledge of the runtime environment and dependencies.

Extensive experience with PowerShell’s extensible scripting language, including the ability to create custom functions, classes, modules, and scripts.

Strong understanding of the .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR) and its integration with PowerShell.

Experience with PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) for configuration management, including declarative configurations, custom scripts, and configuration drift reporting.

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, VMware, and Google Cloud, with practical experience in using PowerShell to manage resources in these environments.

Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Windows, Exchange, and SQL technologies, with a proven ability to automate and manage these systems using PowerShell.

Experience in developing and deploying PowerShell scripts in CI/CD environments.

Proficiency in working with common data formats, such as CSV, JSON, and XML, and experience automating their processing with PowerShell.

Ability to work with advanced PowerShell features such as PSReadLine for command-line editing, syntax highlighting, and enhanced history.

Knowledge of pipeline execution, aliases, and built-in cmdlets to facilitate efficient task automation.

Familiarity with configuration management, including enforcing settings and deploying configurations through push or pull models.

Preferred

Experience with version control tools like Git and automation platforms.

Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and practices.

Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to automation scripts and systems.

Experience in creating comprehensive testing and deployment strategies for PowerShell based automation.
