Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a team to build highly predictive models for Originations, Marketing, and Collections
Oversee and personally participate in the development, coding, implementation, and maintenance of the various models
Manage the process to maintain and improve custom variables created from 3rd party data sources
Manage the overall ongoing maintenance and quarterly monitoring of all active models
Continuously explore new 3rd party data sets for use in model development to improve model performance
Work with IT to ensure various internal and external data is stored in a way that is conducive to model development
Collaborate with various departments to identify areas of opportunity where predictive models will make a meaningful impact to the Company’s bottom line
Serve as the predictive modeling thought leader in the organization by maintaining a high level of competency in current and emerging statistical techniques and tools
Provide oversight of all model presentations

Required
M.S. degree or higher in Statistics, Math, Data Science, or equivalent quantitative field
10+ years of predictive modeling experience within the financial services industry
5+ years of experience managing predictive modelers
Extensive experience building predictive models (including linear and logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, and gradient boosting) in R, Python, or SAS for various parts of the business
Knowledge and experience with various reject inference techniques
Detailed knowledge of credit bureau data at the individual tradeline and inquiry level
Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases
Very strong written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to present model results to a non-technical audience

Experience with Experian credit report
