Responsibilities
Create quotes to present to customers
Request pricing from various vendors (steamship lines, truckers, warehouses, agents, etc)
Review margin analysis for sales account base
Provide continual follow up with new and existing clients with regards to margin review and account profitability
Review of the buy and sell rates through provided tools will be essential for this position to provide updates to management and other staff who have been determined to have a need to know about account profitability
Provide accurate and timely pricing quotes to sales, operations and direct to customers
Continual evaluation of industry trends and government regulations
Assist management in negotiating and finalizing deals.
Handle Customer complaints.
Assist with rate negotiation and familiarity of client products and services.
Other duties as assigned.

Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-3 years of ocean freight experience required.
1-3 years of customer service experience required.
Detailed organizational skills.
Solid communication skills – both verbal and written.
Must be able to think and react quickly with a sense of urgency to time-sensitive problem situations.
Must be able to remain calm during adverse conditions.
Must be able to type a minimum of 30 w.p.m.
Preferred
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel
Basic geography knowledge preferred. Applicants should understand the locations of US States and Canadian Provinces – including major cities thereof.
