Responsibilities

Provides leadership and oversight of project plans to ensure consistency with H-E-B's architectural standards, strategic objectives, and goals

Leads the development of design ideas, concepts, and specific solutions that deliver creative, impactful, cost-effective, and Brand-right results

Manages projects from conception through completion, effectively communicating with consultants and overseeing overall timelines and milestones for multiple, complex projects

Represents H-E-B at jurisdictional meetings, leads the review of project plans, and establishes QA standards for projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent

Licensed Architect in the State of Texas

7+ years of experience

Expert knowledge of building systems and their coordination / integration (structural, architectural, MEPR); building codes, environmental regulations, handicap accessibility codes and the direct application of such; dynamics / application of site and landscape design; sanitation concerns and regulations and how to apply; appropriate materials use and methods of construction; influence of specifications and criteria development

Advanced understanding of project scheduling and how to leverage expertise

Proficiency in graphic design and the use of color, form, scale, and texture

Advanced project management skills

Computer application and software skills (AutoCAD, Revit, Blue Beam, MS Office)

Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects

Ability to use 2D and 3D presentation graphics

Preferred

Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment

Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
