Responsibilities
Design, build and deliver enterprise-class solutions handling large volumes of data while adhering to timelines, coding standards, functional and non-functional requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver valuable insights.
Evaluate new tools and technologies and recommend ways to implement them in product suite while keeping in mind the business strategy, short- and long-term roadmap, and architectural considerations to support them in a highly scalable and easy extensible manner.
Inspire a forward-thinking team of developers, acting as an agent of change and evangelist for a quality first culture within the organization.
Coach and technically train junior staff on design and development standards and best practices.
Maintain a strong sense of business value and return on investment in planning, design, and communication.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concern or opportunity and work to either directly affect change, or advocate for that change by working with peers and leadership to build consensus and act.
Perform critical maintenance, deployment, and release support activities, including occasional off-hours support.

Required
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
10+ years of experience using C# or Java. Other programming languages such as Python is a plus.
10+ years of hands-on experience in building Web Applications, SaaS products, and RESTful APIs.
Minimum of 5+ years working experience with SQL and proficiency in Snowflake data platform and warehouse, strong working knowledge in stored procedures, CTEs, and UDFs, RBAC.
Experience in building enterprise applications with large volumes of data, using Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark.
Excellent proficiency in microservices, event driven architecture, stream-processing systems like Kafka and building real time data pipelines.
Experience with NoSQL systems such as MongoDB, cockroach DB, Apache Cassandra etc.
Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in Container technologies: Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with modern Data Replication and Data processing tools such as Qlik.
Experience in working in a startup-type environment, good team player, and can work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, comfortable presenting complex ideas in simple terms.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for critical and complex issues.
Strong expertise in translating business strategies into technical, strategic and execution plans (roadmaps).
Experience as a technical influencer for highly scalable distributed system designs.
Passion for engineering excellence through automation, unit testing, and process improvements.
Preferred
Prior working experience in Scrum, or other Agile development methodologies, is preferred.
Experience with open-source platforms and technologies.
Experience with data science and machine learning tools and technologies is a plus.
