Responsibilities

Define specifications for significant new projects and develop software according to those specifications.

Lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services.

Own the complete software development life cycle from architecture to production, balancing between feature development and production key performance indicators (KPIs).

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.

Recommend and justify major changes to existing products, services, or processes.

Required

BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

7+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems

Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices

Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java or similar OO languages

Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.

Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture

Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
